Food at wbca
At West Bromwich Collegiate Academy all our food is prepared in house by our catering team, led by Miss Douglas. We do not outsource our food nor do we look to make a profit, with every pound spent reinvested into the food to ensure it is of good quality.
Our canteen serves a range of hot and cold food daily, including a range of snacks which are available during breaktimes. We also provide a Breakfast Club from 8.25am where free cereal is available and other items, which can be purchased.
Meal deals cost £2.60 and include a choice of either a hot or cold meal or sandwich, a dessert and drink. With a wide variety of options available including halal, vegetarian and vegan options, we are able to cater to a range of requirements. We also cater for other dietary requirements upon request.
Please note that we are a nut free school. We do not sell or serve any items containing nuts nor do we allow students or staff to bring items that contain nuts into the Academy.
At WBCA, we operate a cashless system and use a fingerprint system to process payments. Families should ensure that students have the adequate funds in their account, which can be topped up using Parent Pay. Students who are entitled to free school meals will have funds credited to their account daily so that they can purchase a meal deal.
