supporting our staff, empowering our future: ai at wbca

At WBCA, we’re dedicated to providing an exceptional learning environment for our students. We believe in inclusive education, nurturing academic excellence, and equipping our students with the skills they need for the future. Most importantly, we are committed to ensuring that every member of our staff feels safe, happy, and valued.

We aspire to create a community of educators who not only excel academically but also embody the principles of decency, respect, and ambition that make our school a place we can all be proud of.

We firmly believe that a school is only as strong as its staff. To this end, we prioritise the well-being of our staff. We recognise that their dedication is the cornerstone of our success. Our dedication to staff well-being extends to our use of AI, which plays a pivotal role in reducing work-related stress and creating a balanced work environment.

AI is not just a tool; it’s a partner in our mission to support our staff. Here’s how we leverage AI to ease their workload:

  1. Streamlined Administrative Tasks: AI takes on time-consuming administrative tasks, such as scheduling and report generation. This allows our educators to redirect their energy towards teaching and mentoring our students. We are currently in the process of developing our first virtual assistant that can handle queries like “When is year 11 parents evening?” or “What time does open evening start?”.
  2. Enhanced Assessment: We have adopted AI-powered software like Nurture, which aids in the assessment of large written assignments, like essays. This not only saves time but also ensures that teachers can provide more targeted and constructive feedback to our students.
  3. Elevating Visuals: Our teachers are now able to generate bespoke images that enhance the visual appeal of presentations and displays. This not only adds a creative touch but also reduces the time spend searching for stock images.
