On Wednesday, WBCA’s Year 8 Art students received a special visit from comic book artist Mark Farmer, who talked about the life and work of being a professional illustrator.

Having previously worked for Marvel and DC Comics, he spoke about his inspirational career and collaborations with world renowned artists and comic producers, his artistic process and the ways in which he creates his artworks, to the career paths that can lead to this particular branch of industry.

Students were very interested and engaged, with numerous questions being asked of Mark about his work. They were later praised by the artist for being such a fabulous cohort.

A wonderful and insightful experience was had by all our students! Particularly to see someone from the local community who has made such a huge contribution to the world of Art.
