Exciting Developments Ahead in Design Technology

Exciting projects and developments continue to roll by in our Design Technology department, with frequent posts on our social media page showing just how much we involve our students in the learning process.

Our new CNC equipment arrived this past July, including a Rapid Prototyping Room that has been prepped ready for our GCSE courses, which will allow students to transform their creativity into reality. Including constructing fully working arcade machines as part of our new GCSE Digital Technology course.

Our Year 9’s have been developing phone amplifier products, which have included students creating design concepts, testing circuits and assembling their finished products from scratch.

Our amazing young engineers have also been on hand to help with creating props and podiums for our recent Academy Sports Day, temporarily switching from building hovercrafts to trying their skills at carpentry! Showing just how skilled and versatile our students are, you are all a credit to our Academy.
