Thursday is our induction day and we are looking forward to meeting everyone. A letter has been sent out to all families detailing arrangements. Just in case you did not see the letter we have copied it below:

Dear Parent/Carer,

West Bromwich Collegiate Academy will be holding our Year 7 Induction Day on Thursday 4th July 2019 at the Bethel Convention Centre, Kelvin Way, West Bromwich, B70 7JW.

Registration starts from 8:45am at the main reception area and there are ample car parking spaces to drop students off. We would ask that all students wear their current school uniform and are in sensible shoes as we will be going round the site.

The programme of the day will start at 9:00am with a presentation by the Senior staff and Principal.

Students will then have an opportunity to meet their form tutor for the first time, meet together in houses, join in some activity sessions focussing on student voice and making friends and take part in a drama-based session focussing on icebreaking activities. Students will have a personalised timetable on the day.

It is our intention that using the activities we create a starters yearbook to help build friendships in September using the photography of the first day. If for any reason you do not wish your child to be featured in this yearbook, please let us know.

Lunch will be provided for all students, vegetarian options will be available. If your child has additional dietary requirements please email Heather Freeman, Project Administrator at the following email address.

heather.freeman@collegiateacademy.org.uk

Students can be picked up from 3:10pm. Following this there is an optional briefing for parents from 3:30pm where there will be an update from the Principal and an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

If you have any questions in relation to the Induction Day please do not hesitate to email or contact us on 0121 565 8812. We have every confidence this will be a great day and are looking forward to meeting the students in just over a week.

Yours faithfully,

George Faux

Principal
