Preparations for our Christmas production are already well underway with our Theatre School students in the final stages of exploring different concepts and ideas for settings and themes. A great mix of ideas and discussions have been displayed by our students, who have also been presenting their ideas to each other.
Additionally, we have been creating our first scene as a collaboration between students and staff, which proved to be an exciting afternoon! Students were tasked with devising their version of the first scene for our retelling of ‘A Christmas Carol’ using extracts from the book and main plot points.
Mr Ward, our Head of Performance, then began piecing together the highlights from all our groups to form the scene’s main foundation.
It has been a truly collaborative project, with students and staff working together to create an original piece of work which has made an excellent start so far! We can’t wait to see what else our students create in the weeks to come.
