Well, we made it to the end of term. It has been an amazing year. When we started the journey about this time a year ago we had a field, no staff, no students but a lot of hope and ideas.

When we look today at a fantastic building, 175 positive and enthusiastic students and families and a staff who cannot wait to get started, I reflect on an incredibly hard but incredibly fulfilling year.

While it may be the summer holidays, the work does not stop for us. We have the ICT to set up, the building handover and furnishing, more work finalising the curriculum and all staff are giving up the last week of their summer holidays for training sessions before we begin. Support staff are starting at different points all the way through August to make sure we are ready for you in September.

The last week of term saw us buy books for the library, guitars, pianos and keyboards for the music department and a number of other larger orders. We opened applications for parents looking to send their students to us in September 2020, and we look forward to meeting interested families on our Open Evening. If you have a child attending the Academy this year, we do have priority for siblings but you need to apply as normal.

Uniform samples have appeared and CCUniforms should have the ties with them this week to begin purchases but there is no rush, you have all summer.

We can still be contacted over the summer at our usual email address and phone number but responses may be a little slower than usual as some people are away. I will continue to provide updates every couple of weeks.

I wish you all a wonderful summer holiday.
