Save the Date: West Bromwich Collegiate Academy Announces Open Event for September 2027 Entry

West Bromwich Collegiate Academy is excited to announce that it will be opening its doors to prospective students and their families for its upcoming open event on Thursday 10 September 2026, from 4:30pm – 8:00pm. No booking required. 

The event offers an early opportunity for families to explore the Academy for Year 7 entry, starting September 2027. Visitors will be able to tour the Academy’s facilities and subject departments, speak directly with staff and students about life at the school, and meet the Principal. 

The Academy is an oversubscribed school with 156 places available in Year 7, dedicated to serving the local community; with the belief that students have the potential to achieve greatness and deserve the very best education for a successful and fulfilling future.  

Associate Principal Mary Henderson said: “We are proud of the positive and inclusive culture we have built, where every student is known, valued and supported to succeed. Our open events give families the chance to experience the energy, ambition and care that shape daily life here, and to see how we help young people grow into confident, resilient individuals ready for the future. Families are advised to arrive early, allowing ample time to get the most of their visit and help make the right, informed decision for their child’s education.  

Applications for parents applying for secondary school places through Sandwell open in July 2026. From this date, parents of children moving into Year 7 will be able to apply for their place via their local authority.
