On Thursday, we took a group of students to London to see the theatre production of ‘The Woman in Black’!

We aim to have our Key Stage 4 Drama students experience live theatre to support their learning and also invited a number of our Year 9 students who have been performing exceptionally well in their English course, where they have been studying the book as part of their Gothic unit.

Travelling by train and tube, students were able to enjoy and take part in whistle-stop tours of London, where they were able to see lots of major landmarks before settling down to watch the show. From The National Gallery of London and St Pauls to Buckingham Palace and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

Staff and students alike had a wonderful time at the production, which was fantastic and full of tension and jumps! Overall, it was a long day complete at around 2000 steps but a brilliant experience all round.
