In conjunction with the University of Birmingham, WBCA are proud and excited to host this year’s Sir Keith Palmer Lecture with geologist and adventurer Professor Chris Jackson!

We have managed to secure a small number of tickets to this sold-out event to offer to our students.

The Sir Keith Palmer Lecture Series was established to promote the “public understanding of natural science” by a distinguished invited speaker for a not only-University audience. The events featured in the series are widely publicised both within and outside the University community and are on a relevant topic of public interest with an audience drawn from a wide range of groups across the Midlands.

Hosted by Professor Alice Roberts, geologist and adventurer Professor Chris Jackson  will discuss the Geological Record of Climate Change; how changes that took place billions of years ago impacted life on Earth and how learning about this can help us better understand our present and future climate.

There will be a maximum of two tickets per family, one student and one accompanying guest. The lecture is suitable for children aged 8 and above, but is aimed at people who have an interest in natural sciences.

If you would like to apply for tickets, please complete this short expression of interest form, indicating why your child would like to attend. The closing date to apply is Friday 14th March at 5pm. If you are successful you will be notified on Monday 17th March.
