Year 11 After-School Study Support Sessions and Year 11 GCSE Exam Success Evening

Dear Families,
We are committed to supporting your child in achieving their full potential.

Study Support Programme

Attached, you will find the after-school study support sessions schedule. These sessions are targeted, and students have been allocated subjects to attend. This will be reflected on your child’s Arbor timetable, so please review it together. For targeted students, attendance at these sessions is compulsory. If your child has not been allocated a session but feels it would be helpful, they can speak with their subject teachers to see if they can attend.
These sessions take place straight after school, from 3:25pm to 4:25pm, and have been carefully planned to address areas where extra support will most benefit your child’s progress. Attending their allocated sessions is essential to help them feel confident and prepared for their upcoming exams. Your encouragement in ensuring your child attends every session will make a real difference to their performance.
Please note that the study support timetable operates on a two-week rotation, starting Week A on the week beginning Monday 29th September. Subjects such as English and Maths will run every week, while other subjects may alternate over the two weeks.

Year 11 GCSE Exam Success Evening

In addition, we require you to attend our Year 11 GCSE Exam Success Evening on Wednesday 1st October. This event will provide parents with key information, guidance, and strategies to help support your child through their mock and GCSE exams. The evening will run from 5:30pm for approximately 1 hour, beginning with a short talk, followed by a marketplace where you can visit subject areas, ask questions, and gather advice on revision, exam preparation, and how best to support your child at home. Refreshments will be available during the evening.
If you have any questions about your child’s timetable or the event, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you again for your continued support.

Assistant Principal
