We are thrilled to share that following our success of reaching the Apps For Good 2023 Showcase Finals, our Year 8 team have won the Judge’s Favourite in the Inclusive Creators category with their amazingly innovative app, ‘Never Forget’.

The aptly named app was designed and created by students Tanaya, Winni, Callan and Shibana in support of caregivers and patients experiencing Alzheimer’s, dementia and mental health difficulties.

Leveraging artificial intelligence, professional online resources and links to valuable services, the app aims to provide much needed advice and support to users, helping them to navigate the challenges that conditions such as Alzheimer’s brings to individuals and their families.

According to Alzheimer’s Research UK, 994,000 people are estimated to be living with dementia in the UK, highlighting the need for innovative support solutions like ‘Never Forget’.

Our students’ vision was to help bridge the gap in finding the right level of support and guidance for individuals who, based on research, face difficulties in staying updated with information and accessing necessary resources. This challenge often leads to additional stress for caregivers.

Congratulations to our winning team and to all our students who participated in the Apps for Good programme. We can’t wait to see the wonderful creations our students come up with next year!
