On Friday 2nd February, a group of students from Year 8 to 11 who have shown interest in taking part in the Poetry by Heart competition were invited to take part in a workshop with the Birmingham Hippodrome. The students were encouraged to write their own poetry and perform it with guidance and techniques being taught by freelance poet Charis McRoberts. 

Students experienced, wrote and edited some excellent poetry and greatly improved their performances during this incredibly inspiring day!
