We are really excited to be welcoming your child to join our Academy very soon.
Here are the details of the Induction Days and Summer School – please read them carefully and click the link to complete the form.
Induction Days
The journey to joining WBCA starts on our Induction Day. This is typically where students will meet their teachers and new classmates and learn more about the Academy.
The Sandwell Induction Days will be held on Wednesday, 6 July and Thursday, 7 July 2022. We look forward to welcoming and meeting the children during these two days.
Plans for the Induction Days
- Students should wear their Primary School uniform and bring writing equipment
- They should arrive at the main gate on the playground at 9:30am
- The day will end at 3pmfor students to be collected
- Lunch will be provided for students on both days
Induction Session for Parents and Carers: Wednesday 6th July – 4pm – 5:30pm
On Wednesday, 6 July from 4pm to 5:30pm we aim to host a session for Parents and Carers to find out more about the Academy.
There will also be an opportunity for you to meet your child’s L4L teacher.
This event will be held in our theatre – if you would like to attend, please arrive at the Academy just before 4pm to take a seat.
Summer School: Monday, 25 July – Wednesday, 27 July 2022.
We are inviting your child to attend our Summer School which is free of charge.
These days will give an opportunity for students to meet their teachers and new classmates, get themselves prepared for the new school term and we hope to have a selection of fun activities across the curriculum as well as a trip out locally to either Dudley Zoo or the Safari Park.
If possible, we would love all the students to attend to gain further experience of the Academy in person. Students who attend summer school have a real boost to their overall induction and a head-start on making friendships throughout the year group.

Summer School Details
- Students should wear casual and comfortable clothes
- Arrive at main reception at 9am
- Each day will end at 3pm
- Lunch will be provided on all days
- Wednesday 27th July may have slightly different timings due to the Academy trip – a separate consent form will be provided for this.
